I have a 93 chevy 1500 truck 5 speed trans I had to replace the rear trans seal do to it leaking after replacing the seal it still leaking it been a few weeks now and the leak has not stop I don't want to buy a new seal if it not going to help
This is generic advice , so it may not apply. When you replaced the seal did you notice if the place where the lip rides on the output shaft is scuffed up? This is typically the case. If so, the solution is to either drive the seal in further or leave it out a tad so it rides on a spot. You may be able to drive the seal in a bit. HTH
