Quaker state dino improve mpg???

While it's not impossible, what's more likely is their driving style changed that OCI, or the weather was more conducive to better mpg. The thing behind the wheel, and the operating conditions are going to do much more to affect MPG than the oil in the engine. As far as smoothness go, there certainly seems to be plenty of anecdotal tales of certain cars liking certain oils better. For example my cruze seems to run smoother and better on PP than it did on QSUD.

True, the way we drive is a big diffrence, but some say quaker iis a thin oil, with friction modifier with less base stock, how true is that? My car is a hyundai and recommand QS....why?

Car manufacturers make money by recommending a product. If they REQUIRED a certain product, then you'd have something worth talking about. Both Quaker State and Pennzoil make great products and either one will give your motor exactly want it needs.

No oil will give any measurable improvement in fuel consumption,
even if you're really OCD about tracking it.
I've run many different oils in many different cars over many years of carefully tracking fuel consumption, and no oil ever stood out as offering noticeably improved fuel economy.
I do have some QSUD on deck for one of the cars, so maybe I'll discover that the QS brand is the exception.

You use the word measureable then noticeable.

Measureable differences in fuel economy have been recorded eg 5w20 vs 5w30, SM to SN. Engineers typically will replicate conditions and only change one variable ie oil.

Noticeable is another word and difficult for a consumer to measure.

I have to mention that I just had M1 0w40 SN put in after the dealer fill of what I presume was M1 0w40 SM. There is a difference in fuel economy. Now that might be due to it just being new oil, or maybe the dealer didn't put the right oil in.

Many of us here have run different oils and noticed slight differences in MPG. I also religiously track my fuel.

Quaker State is recommended for your Hyundai because it is the factory fill for Hyundai, they must have a deal cut with SOPUS,not sure if it's synthetic or not but either way it's very good oil.

When I had my motorcycle, I got an extra 2 mpg when I switched to Rotella 5w-40, so oil can sometimes make a difference. I tried many different oils in my truck, and they all gave basically the same MPG. I highly doubt dino QS will give you better mileage, but it won't hurt you or your engine to try it out.

When it comes to running smooth QSAD is my personal favorite. Ive never ran a nicer running oil and Ive made sure to try most brands to have such a claim. Once my stash is out Ill be going back to QSAD for everything. But my gas mileage has never been better from an oil brand change.

Did your engine rev better?

I have yet to be able to tell that any engine revs better just from the oil change. Maybe from a heavier weight to a thinner weight, ie a 40wt to a 20wt, but switching from PP to M1 both in 5w30 for instance, I highly doubt any one can actually say their engine revs better or they can feel the difference. What's "better" anyway? Placebo effect... IMHO

I recently switched from a 0W-40 to a 0W-20 in my Lexus V8 and can definitely tell a difference in reving and power. It feels like I gained 20-30 hp, even though I know that's not possible. Also, on my current gas tank, my MPG is going to jump a lot, perhaps between 5-10%. I'm sticking with 0W-20 from now on.

I have little doubt that a lower HTHS oil of the same grade will yield better fuel economy than one with higher HTHS.
Within the same grade and HTHS, I doubt that any change would be measureable at anything other than the bench test level.
IOW, you'll neither see nor record any difference in actual use.
Fresh oil with fresh friction mosifiers may yield some short term inprovement in fuel economy, but those effects will average out over the length of an OCI.
