PZ 173 FILTER CUT OPEN

Friend of mine purchased this 2017 Chevy Impala and this filter and Pennzoil 5w30 was in and on. I know "change oil now" message on. Put a fram ultra 10575 and some Valvoline Advanced Syn 5w30 in and on. Cuts in adbv are pretty deep also but media looks ok. Friend and i didnt know how long oil and filter were in at time and he said "oil and filters are cheap come to think of it"

Are those metallic particles in the last photo on the ADBV??

Thanks for the C & P 53' Stude. Looks nice and clean, especially for 'change oil now' on OLM. Wonder if someone forgot to reset the OLM previously?

They didn't feel metallic and more like possibly paint. Whatever they were they weren't magnetic

Yeah Capt the media looks a fair amount better next to the seam in this one. The spacing is much more consistent all the way to the seam. The cut marks are not great but at least there are no chunks...

Yeah, media looks very good. I just don't like the cut ADBV
