Looking at the replacement for my 08 Lucerne it appears the only air filters made for this are synthetic, I could be wrong I didn't look at all of them but used 25% of at AAP and picked up a Purolator One A35431.

Looks like the 99% is only for Multi-fibe paper filters (based of A24278), the filter for my Lucerne was 96.5%.

The only other filter I looked at was Wix 42389 but I can't find the actual percentage for it but the 99% is based off a 42389 which is a Cellulose paper filter.

I'm sure I will be fine but is this generally true that synthetic filters don't filter as good as other types of paper filters.

Ahh I believe the Wix air filter is a poly aka synthetic cellulose blend... So it does quite good.

The Purolator air filter is 99 percent efficient and it is a poly synthetic blend too I believe...

The Fram Ultra is lightly-oiled to capture more dirt

There is one for your Lucerne

Purolator says it's treated but doesn't say with what. Honestly it didn't feel oily maybe a little slick but I figured that was just the nature of the element being used.

Thanks guys.
