The Purolator Premium Plus L14670 now has the bypass valve located on the open end of the filter, and looks just like a Wix or M1.

Everything else looks the same, like the baseplate with 8 holes, the black ADBV and gasket, and even the box looks like the "old" one.

I have been using these for several years and have never seen one like this, so I bought all 7 that they had.

Anyone else ever see this before on the L14670?

By the way, I live in So Cal, and found them at Pep Boy's.

Purolator is a good filter. I get Motorcraft FL1A for the threaded end bypass, but the longer (Motorcraft FL299) Purolator L40017 has the threaded end bypass. I hope they will do that to the L30001 filter too.
