Two of my buddies blew brake lines in the last couple days and both times the lines blew at the guard holder for the lines. I got all worried and decided to pull out the ramps and pw with the foam cannon to give the brake and fuel line guards under the car a thorough clean. Even though I craw under with the cannon and power washer every time I clean the car, I reached up and could feel dirt on the bottom of the guards. Once I started with the cannon, I could actually see the color of the foam change to a dirty muddy type color.

I could see this being an issue overtime and could speed up the deterioration of the fuel and brake lines esp with the northeast winters/salt/sand ect that collects just a fraction of a inch from the lines. I will now make a habit come every spring... ramps and foam cannon time!.

Good catch!

Steel lines can rust out where they're held in place by plastic mounts/clips. I had this happen a few years ago to a steel portion of a transmission cooler line on my 2015 Nissan Versa.
