Can't find out. Did see Mann & Hummel (Germany) who along with Bosch I think own Purolator, have a ProTec Division, but it doesn't state on their site that that division manufacturers any filters (their other division does).

Are only the bona fide WIX® filters made in Gastonia plants, Pete??

btw- there's no plant listed on the Wix site for Little Rock

bbtw- Is Wix THE employer in Gastonia? Lots of facilities in Gastonia.

Apparently true about Wix: here's a bid proposal for Hawaii, showing Wix - Protec as bidder.

Ed White cut apart a bunch of filters for his study, including a ProTec from RockAuto. The construction clearly indicated Wix origin, but compared to a Wix branded filter, it had a thinner shell and less media that was also thinner and easily torn.

Nobody said it was a Wix filter. It's made by Wix.

I just bought pro-tec 130 for a 13 hp tractor. Looks similar to the filter Ed White had but this one is made in Mexico. Couldn't pass up a $1.52 oil filter.
