I was reading an old thread here how the "old" Dex-Cool formula uses Potassium 2-ethylhexanoate. I bought a bottle of Carquest Dex-Cool yesterday and this is the ingredient that's inside it.
However, apparently Prestone Dex-Cool uses Sodium-2-ethylhexanoate in their formula. This is also the case on the AC Delco brand of Dex-Cool.
Here is the thread:

Is there really a difference? Supposedly, Potassium 2-ethylhexanoate is more "reactive" than Sodium. When reading the old thread, I couldn't determine a "scientific" conclusion why that's true.
Should I spend the extra few bucks and go with the Prestone Dex-Cool instead? Think the Sodium will prevent corrosion better?
