Trans might just need a new filter and fluid. Mine did that - at about 95k. I drove it in 2nd gear-only for three miles to a repair shop. It cost me $99 for filter and fluid - then it shifted buttery-smooth from that day forward.

If I remember right and watching the work from 3 vehicle lengths away, I think the worker used six quarts of fluid. Not 100% sure.
Update: Transmission was about 2 quarts low. I should have checked all fluid levels when I got it back. Trans acts normal again. Also 1 week after the starter was replaced the fuel pump died. Not to worry it was covered under the AC Delco lifetime warranty since it's replacement was a factory unit done at a Chevrolet dealer over 10 years ago.

I did a whole bunch of fluid and filter changes to my S2000:
60050 mi, 3700 OCI, 60000 mi. maintenance

That was all I had from my last SN+-spec jug, Amazon sent me SN-spec oil when the pictures showed SP-spec jug.
This is the last time I'll use 10W-30 before winter, I'm using PP Euro 5W-40 next time.

Did some wrenchin' on my oldest daughter's boyfriend's 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport this evening. I happen to check the oil for him the other day (1st time doing so) and it was down nearly a quart and black as night.

Asked him when it was changed last. He didn't know. His mother have him the vehicle about a year ago. He's in his 2nd year at UK and is 400 miles from home. Time for me to step up and help the kid.

Vehicle spec's 5/20 on the cap. After asking around he found out that it's spent most of it's life on 5/20 Pennzoil conventional.

Per the owners manual and suggestions from a Hyundai forum, I stepped him up from 0/20 conventional to 5/30 synthetic. Apparently these 2.4 DI engines are hard on oil. When I drained it I nearly chocked on the fuel smell.

Anyway...all went smooth. Rotated the tires, checked the brakes, threw on new wiper blades and topped off the coolant. Going to do a few more things as time allows over the next few weeks.

For those who don't know....Meijer's house brand is a Warren product.

My son short-trips A LOT. . .the oil looked spent, if color means anything. This was the last of the 12-quart "box 'O oil" ST. . . the box is an interesting option, but I wouldn't go out of the way to buy one again, unless it was on sale for cheaper than the 5 qt. containers. ST works well in my son's application because of all the short-tripping he does, but I may do QSUD next time around for his vehicle.

You do all your vehicles at the same time? Odd.

Also, how old is that clear bottle Quaker State? I always thought those were neat looking.
The Jeep is new, and right on mileage for its second oil change. It's on a 5000 mile interval right now. Used about 8 oz since the last change.
The Barracuda gets one a year, at the end of the driving season. Here in the Great Lakes, that'll be soon.
The Vibe had 6500 miles on its oil. Kinda snuck up on me, even though next month would be a year. Since I was already at it, why not make it a hat trick?
The Quaker State is SM rated from around 2008. I got a whole bunch of it for free, because there was something on the label which couldn't be allowed out to the public. I still have about five cases, which at the rate I use it now will outlast the Vibe.
