Well actually the oil pressure gauge was bouncing all over the place with the 5w20 and the puralator filter. As soon as I swapped to the CE 5w30 and the fram ultra it stopped. It instantly started working fine and hasn't went crazy again. I will keep you posted on the results. I plan on a 5k OCI.

I did a cross section of the oil filter out of curiosity. I've never cross sectioned a cartridge filter, but I'm surprised at how it feels like a skinny, stiff piece of cardboard. I found one shiny little speck in my cross section. I plan on changing it again at 5000 miles and doing a UOA to see how the oil is holding up to the little 1.4l turbo and adjusting from there. They were out of PP 5w30 at the store, so I went with another bitog favorite and my second choice, QSUD. Anyway, happy 4th everyone and enjoy!
