Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

I get 16 MPG in my 2007 Tacoma PreRunner V6 with automatic transmission.

That’s overall...but a lot of it is my daily 18-mile commute, which is mostly freeway @ 65-85 mph, usually.

Lately, I've been getting around 27mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. The last tank was 27.25 mpg with about 80% highway driving at about 70mph.

Mine fluctuate around 35-37 mpg in summer, most driven on highway. In winter it drops to 30-32. MPG on dash is always 2~4 higher than calculated.

Ok I'll play. The pics are from June in my new 2021 Explorer King Ranch 2 wheel drive with the 3.0L ecoboost. The pics are from it's first trip from S.A. to Houston to visit my daughter and grandson, car was 3 days old. First pic was on way back 150 miles into the trip. Second pic was home in my garage, the mpg is pretty darn impressive at 70-75 on a 500 mile new engine!

Just happened to take a picture today. Averaged under 9 MPG most of the day into a headwind. The Duramax purrs along at 1,400 RPMs at 60 MPH.

17.5 mpg combined for my 3500. Some city, town and highway driving for 550km. Maybe about 60km hauling azz with an unloaded tri axle flat deck.

2012 Honda Civic LX 37 hwy 29 city/ Ford F-150 18 mpg average mostly highway/ Corvette 24 hwy/ Jeep 25 highway. These amounts fluctuate between speeds, wind, and A/C use but are fairly accurate. The Honda will get unreal mileage 45 mpg or better if you drive 60 mph but who does that? The Honda seemed to get better mileage after about 100,000 miles for some reason. Maybe it's finally broken in and it never has used any oil. I really don't watch mileage much except in the Honda.

Impressive, that's better fuel economy than latest hybrid sedan!

What did you change to have your efficiency steadily climbing over the years like that?

Driving speed mainly. A very large amount of my driving is on secondary roads with high deer population so I usually drive 40-45 MPH range with c/c set on them. I do very little driving in town too. I also added an electronic throttle controller in 12/19 and have it set to economy mode. I do lots of coasting to stop signs and toward upcoming red lights trying to give them a chance to turn green prior to getting to them and having to stop. These mileages were achieved using 15 year old conventional 10w40 Citgo Supergard and 87 octane E/10 for fuel. No one is going to convince me you have to use 0w8 to get good mileage. I guess it helps that I'm an old man and drive like one!

Heh, you're doing better than I did on my first 1200 miles, and I don't have a turbo in my 2020 AWD GT. Then again, I also tend to do at least 50% city driving for most tanks.

I've been seeing 28+ pretty regularly and have close to touching 30mpg during mostly highway cruising tanks and hoping to see that 30mpg happen during an upcoming road trip.

I'm at a little under 13K miles.

Very well done. The Versa seems like a very roomy car for its size too. Impressive little car for sure.
