Polishing Pad by Hand

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. I was going to use some to polish fresh paint in a small area by hand.

What would you use as an applicator/polishing pad?

I use a DeWalt 20 volt buffer and a very mild pad to remove hand applied wax. The Corvette gets special attention though. I can wax a regular car or truck and get it looking great in a half hour. I do like to use several micro fiber towels because they do collect accumulated wax. The trick is detail the entire vehicle inside and out and that takes a lot of time especially if you are doing touch up paints.

atikovi - why you choose microfiber instead of smooth sponge applicator?

atikovi - it's looking like Meguiar's discontinued those. Every place online is out of stock.

Meguiar's still has them on their website however.

The smooth sponge would be fine for spreading wax or sealant. Don't think it would have much of a bite for polishing.
