Hi people,

A friend's white Jetta has pine sap all over and removing it isn't a big problem, BUT...it leaves a slight dark spot after the removal where the sap was. Is there a better way to do this??? I was thinking rubbing compound and then a nice wax job after.

Any help would be appreciated on this.

By the way, I'm using rubbing alcohol and PB Blaster.

Thanks.

I think your on the right track, some kind of clearcoat safe polishing compound. If it is etched into the surface that still may not work. Perhaps having it buffed out at a body shop would work.
