Pennzoil 15w-40 jug labeling

Hey . I went to a farm store yesterday to buy anti-freeze and something caught my eye .

There was a yellow gallon jug of the Pennzoil turned backward so the label showed and it said HD 30wt on the donut and spoke about it being a 30wt and other stuff but when I turned the bottle around the view the front ,,,,,,it said 15w-40 on it

All of them were that way . These were what I think to be the older bottles w/o the Sopus products label .

Anyone ran across this also ?

Hey. Yes; I have.

I bought a jug at WalMart (July, maybe).
At the checkout, it would not scan. It brought up a message that said, "no such product."

When I got it home, the rear label and Bar Code was from a HD30 oil, just like you describe.

I figured, whichever is inside, it's suitable for me for the rest of summer, and didn't return it.

This was in Illinois, near St. Louis.

Made me wonder...
