Distilled works well in a vaporizer or humidifier, not sure that mixing it with formula & having a baby drink it is a good idea. On the rare occasion my kids got powdered formula, it just got mixed with good old fashioned tap water! The Parent's Choice WM water USED to have minerals added, but I think it's just distilled now-make sure to read the label. Since Ace Hardware only has the 50/50 on sale, and the concentrate is still full price ($19.99, a ripoff), the 50/50 is actually a BETTER deal after rebate @ $2.99/gallon, the full strength would be $14.99 AR.
I mix mine with coolant and give it out as refreshments to Halloween trick or treaters.

So you can mix formula w/o boiling water to purify it. Also some prefer it as it is flouride free.
I am not that evil to use a dexclone. I use peak since it is free of silicates and 2-eha
