I did my windshield with Rain-X and then it got smudgy with bugs. I cleaned it with a scrubby bug sponge and I just wanted to know if I took off the Rain-X Thank you

The bonding between the glass and the silicone in Rain-X is quite strong. A scrubby bug sponge isn't abrasive enough to break that bond.
if its fairly recently applied, I think its fine. But if your feeling Pprehensive, just do. A quick spray and wipe.
Turtle Wax Seal N Shine is better than Rain X and it doesn't smudge like Rain-X. You can also put it on plastic, which Rain-X advises against, and it lasts much longer. It also doesn't build up on wipers as badly. Just my 2c. I've used both.
I doubt it removed any Rain-X but I would use Rain-X washer fluid instead of reapplying.
I could never get Rain-X to apply without smudging. I had to clean it with their cleaner a few times to remove those smudges. After that, I started using Rain-X windshield washer fluid. Initially, I used to add concentrate to the washer fluid, not anymore. As long as I keep the wipers clean, I don't have to 'apply' Rain-X.
