My son got a new 2016 RAM 1500 with a 3.6L engine and 8 spd tranny.

We just changed the FF at 6850 km. OLM still showed 48%.
In now is PYB 10W30 which will stay in till OLM is at 5%.
Who follow the OLM to 10% or less?

Our 2013 Wrangler has the same engine. The OLM doesn't show a percentage, it just pops up with a message that says "Oil change required". It's been coming on around 9000 miles. I had been using the old formula Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 but just switched to Ultra Platinum since I picked up a ton of it on clearance at AZ.

Does the 3.6 call for a 30 weight in the Ram? I thought it was 20? Still pretty cold in Ontario isn't it?

Yes, the oil for a RAM is 5W20 but since PYB 10W30 have a Noack of 5-6%, it is most lucky a synthetic oil anyway.
I will do a UOA after 10 000 miles on the oil to see how the oil was doing.

What was the mileage when OLM was less than 10% ?

Just changed the FF in my son's new Chrysler 200S w the 3.6L - OLM was at 0% with a bit over 8700 miles. Oil looked fine, filter was surprisingly clean for a FF. I refilled with MS5K. That engine holds 6 quarts so I have no problem running OLM to zero as long as it's kept topped off. I'm sure you can go past zero to 10k if you use a quality synthetic. If you're working your truck hard, maybe adjust accordingly.
