Once? I've seen it posted here a number of times, LOL. I think it was said time and time again that this test is very much irrelevant to what happens in an engine.

It is relevant
Look at what Castrol has to say

and Amsoil also did the 4 ball wear test, which is uses the same principle as the test 540 RAT performed

Regular Mobil 1 5W-30 had a film strength of 105,875 psi while Mobil 1 5W-30 EP only had a film strength of 83,263 psi. Anyone find that surprising?
4. 0W30 Amsoil Signature Series 25,000 miles, API SN = 105,008 psi

In all honesty I believe film strength has it's perks....

I also found out about that XD
It is very probably because
The price of of Mobil 1 5w30 API SN is only 68.75% of Amsoil 0w30 Signature Series
While the film strength is even worse than Mobil 1's

That is why I don't want to buy the wrong Mobil 1 motor oil

Mobil is a brand that has WAY too much similar products
I would really appreciate it if anybuddy can tell me which one of these has the same formula or results as the one he tested so that I don't buy the wrong one
thank you very much!! ^^

What DO they say ?

"pressures have doubled" (from what, to what, and where ?
"we exceed industry standards"...well of course they do, it would be nigh impossible to build an oil that only met the line, and did so batch after batch.

Where in the SAE, ACEA, and ILSAC engine oil testing regimes is the one armed bandit, 4 ball, or RAT tests ?

Surely if it were relevant, these testing bodies, as opposed to advertisers would incorporate them.

The validity (or lack thereof) of the 4-ball wear test was discussed here many times. If you're going to bring up old threads from the dead, you might as well bring up this one:

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/1584948/1

Oh wait, you already did, posting the exact same drivel as you did here. What exactly is your point bringing up all these old 4-ball wear test threads? If you want to ask a question, just start a new thread.

You joined this forum yesterday, made 9 posts, and 5 of them with the exact same content and links to some Taiwanese forum and oil store. What's up with that? Is this your online store that you're trying to promote? Might want to consider becoming a BITOG sponsor, if that's the case.

Sorry I am new here

I didn't new that a new account can post new threads
And I don't know which category to post

I really like how the results came out for Mobil 1
And I do not want to buy the wrong series (their names and descriptions are all different)

Peace

That's because companies know that no one would believe their test results
Customers are smart and will only believe 3rd party test results (but even 3rd party can be bribed)

For example, do you believe in Amsoil test results?
Aren't you suspicious about the fact that do better than others in all kinds of tests?

And oil film strength is meaning full
That is why Amsoil and even Castrol, crazily advertize how strong their oil is
=D

How is it meaningful ?

Why don't ACEA, ILSAC, SAE include it in their engine oil tests if it is so meaningful ?

HaHaHa! To answer your question, this should have been posted in the humor forum!

Any oil can happen to have some remarkable numbers in one category or another, or it can be a goal of the blender. Of course, oil companies will market based upon where an oil excels.

Over moderate oil change intervals on a vehicle specifying nothing extraordinary (i.e. just SN/GF-5), one will never be able to tell the difference between any certified oils with respect to wear or cleanliness. They're all more similar than they are different.
