^ I wont have the dry starts though as I prime the oil filter always with as much oil as possible. And there's always old oil in the pump so can't be doing much harm. I would like to be proved wrong but as of now I'm going to keep changing it out every 2k as its free for me and my vehicles are probably loving it? I hope..

I noticed lots of people are saying use a pure 1 filter, I use to on my ACR but just use the old purolator classic on both cars right now,
After having start up noise in a 25Kmi Ford 4.6 with a classic that had a defective ADBV, I won't touch one... That engine had no problem prior or since... In fact threw one on hand for my '93 Lightning in the trash...

Also how much were you paying for it just to be curious.

Good to know, I think i'm just going to stick to the WIX filters on both my vehicles, never had any problems and im only running them 2k so no need for a K&N or M1 or BOSCH.

I've been using Schaeffer's since 2004, before that I used various synthetics, ie Mobil 1, Exxon syn and Quaker State syn, the "old stuff". With the shipping at the time when I bought the 5w30 Schaeffer's blend it was less expensive than buying Mobil 1 at Walmart. Say what you want but I've been pleased with Schaeffer's. And yes I do use LCD additives in all the gas and oil fills. I use LCD even with my Motorcraft oil in my 2002 F-150. With 1 year 5,000 mile OCI's the valve train when looking through the oil fill hole is like new. Schaeffer's has been great to me but it's not worth ordering it any more, appropriate grade Amsoil can be had for less if I want to order oil.

In your Camaro,I`d use M1. Do you have access to M1 HM oil there at your shop? If so,use that one. It`s add pack is better than regular M1. More zinc and moly.

Yeah like I said I don't doubt that many people do just fine with it and have no problems what so ever, but there will always be some people who say otherwise about every kind of oil, you make a good point though that for the price at the time it couldn't be beat. We don't pay much for it either right now.
