another way to look at it is this--- per volume of oil, would you rather have (a) more oil and fewer Viscosity Improvers, or (b) less oil and more VIs.?

Yes, M1 ESP 5W-30 is an entirely different oil, with HTHS ⥠3.5 cP. The same goes for API CK-4 5W-30 HDEOs. Their base oils are nice and thick along with their strong HTHS.

Excellent suggestion, especially for his climate, with a turbocharged engine.

That's one of the best oils out there, regardless of price.

Derived from natural gas, and Noack volatility ~ 4.7%.
