This is off of a 2018 Police interceptor utility (Explorer) AWD with 39,000 miles on it. Oil was motorcraft 5w20 and was run for 3,630 miles. No tearing or poor pleat spacing. I wish they all looked this good.

Used up the last of my motorcraft filters. Replaced it with a Baldwin B4779 and 6 more quarts of motorcraft 5w20.

I still wonder if the 500's and 820's are made at the same plant or even the same company. Big difference in quality between the two.

I know the psi setting for the bypass has been discussed between the 820 and 500

but compare them to cross referenced filters and the psi settings for the bypass valves are difference.

I looked up the Fram PH2 specs on the fram site and the psi bypass is listed as 12 vs the PH10575 being listed as 16-24

seems strange that the fram listed equivalent to the mc500s would be more then twice the OEM psi spec

At topic fci any filter should look ok, this no exception. In my observation of post use anecdotes posted, excepting the 820S 'generally speaking' majority MCs similar to topic.

Thanks for c&p.
