Hey guys, here's my second oil analysis on my '02 Z28. Second numbers are from the last analysis with a 3430 mi. OCI. Nice to see the copper come down. Total mileage on the car is 21,830. Wix air filter, AC PF59 oil filter, 1/2 qt. make-up oil added. The car developed piston slap just prior to the last oil change and has worsened during this OCI. Apparently it's not harming the engine as far as wear is concerned. I'm currently experimenting with different oils/weights to try to quiet it down. Any suggestions?

Nice report. Redline has been mentioned as quieting the infamous piston slap. I can tell you that probably Delvac 1 won't help though.

Fe and Pb are very, very nice. I too believe that you probably won't improve much with this oil. Piston slap.....live with it or try and get a replacement engine. Look at www.pistonslap.com

Nice balance of boron and moly.

This is an excellent report. The great thing about it is the cooper has come down to a low level and your engine has no excessive comsumption with this thin 30wt oil. Why not just continue with M1. Did you get a TBN for this report. You can run this oil for much longer intervals.
