Last month my wife and I did a short holiday in north-central Minnesota, picking up those parts of of the Paul Bunyan and Heartland trails we had not ridden previously, and re-riding a few favourite sections. The weather was iffy (although much better than here).
Day 1 - NE leg of Heartland Trail - Walker to Cass Lake, around Pike Bay, and return (94 km). We had not seen this section of the Heartland trail before. The home-style cooking in Cass Lake was very good, and the loop around Pike Bay was beautiful. Back in Walker, the B-29 model on the Legion is always a bit awe-inspiring for me, and the enchiladas at the Zona Rosa are always good.
