Mazda 3 1.6 DV6C UOA Low TBN Qeustion

I belive it was it's first or second service, the ASX had mitsubishi engines prior to euro6 coming into effect.

Yeah some oil stays behind but that's no issue if you change on time. If the pick up screen is clean and the turbo oil feed and drain are clean, you should be good.

Ah that's cool to know.
Its crazy to see how many car markers are using this engine now. The Toyota Proace is even using it, hopefully that means it a good engine and lots of cheap parts.
Thanks for all your help Jetronic.

Is TBN even a concern anymore? It has to have a minimum value per the license but after that does it even matter with today’s low sulfur fuels.

considering he added 2 litres of make-up oil, I would say it still matters

Yeah that engine seems to have a lot of blow-by or another mechanical issue.
