I am new here, but came across the site while searching for the part number/type of compression spring.
I have a John Deere D105 riding mower, and the compression spring broke on the variator. The sizing of the spring is 3"x1.5", and I've found several, but I want to make sure they're the correct one before purchasing so I don't have to go through the trouble of multiple purchases/returns. I have searched the John Deere part catalog and several other websites, but most only sell the secondary transmission variator pulley kit. All the other parts are correct, and while I don't mind paying the $100 for the full kit, I'd rather pay the $5 for the one part that I actually need.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've attached a picture I found from another post that has the spring I'm looking for.
