A while back I had some loud start up rattle. The problem solved itself after the next oil change. But I had bought a 2 pack of this additive.
Should I throw it in anyway? Just changed the oil today. What would be the benefits?
Ps... I had an equinox that seemed sensitive to oil thickness. Would it be safe for this engine? Thanks.

I don't think I'd add it, unless there's a specific problem you have that adding a thickener to oil will solve I don't get the point, 1400CSt@40C seems like some pretty thick stuff about 20 times thicker than most multi grade 30 oil.

@Hardcore. I have the 4.7 in my Durango. I add a container of it with each oil change as the Chrysler 4.7 and 3.6 engines are known for throwing cam followers when the hydraulic lifters get sticky or dirty. It has served me well for that purpose and I would also recommend it to any other owners of these engines.
