My Hankook Ventus V12's have 12,300 miles on them and I think I'm at the wear bars on the rear, there's no way the Milestars can have worse wear

Wow, tire buying. So subjective. What can you afford vs what you want vs what you need. I don’t drive much anymore. I used to burn it up on the New Jersey Turnpike commuting. My current fleet is cheap. 2013 Nissan Sentra has Cooper Ultra Touring. $80 something from Tire Rack. So far a great tire. My cheaper fleet car is a 2012 Versa with Walmart Sumitoro Solars. $45 a piece. Great for almost 4 years now. But, remember I don’t drive like I used to. Bottom line is buy what you need first, buy what you can afford second, buy what you want last. If you live long enough on adequate tires you can flip the last two.

Lots of these cheap foreign tires may start off decent, but most rarely wear well and tend to harden badly over time.
I've seen them installed on Elon Musk's SpaceX Tesla Model S security cars when the stock tires wear out
