lint in/on my carry piece

I am stunned how much lint my Ruger LCP picks up from being in my pocket (in a DeSantis holster). I had never really thought about it, but it's an ongoing thing to keep it lint-free and properly lubed. Like a mini version of the dog hair "dust bunnies" that accumulate around my baseboards at home.

Never pocket carried, but wonder if, perhaps, a different approach to laundry or dress would reduce the lint present in your pocket? I’ve noticed some pants (jeans) have way more lint than others (5.11 tactical) and that washing them inside out, or with pockets inside out, reduced the lint...

Maybe its the plastic parts that generate static and attract the lint. Try a little anti-sat spray on a rag and rub your gun with it.

Washing inside out is great advice.

Side note, careful with the pocket carry.

I get a lot of lint in my Taurus M85 Ultra Light and it stays in a Fobus holster. I just wipe it down and spray it with some Ballistol. Good for another 3-4 months
