If you don't experience that on any of your vehicles using the Wix filter, keep using them.

My Taurus does the same thing if the filter does not have a real good ADBV. I use the cheapest oil I can get for RX runs. Just as long as it has the latest ratings. I don't put in SA rated oil.........

I get no rattle from my Lincoln, the Crown Vic rattles a bit, but that is due to the faulty 00-03 timing chain guides and tensioners.... it just started rattling, I've been aware of the TSB about it for a long time....

I've been happy overall with Wix... I think I will stick with them, I also use wix for my other filtering need, air, trans, fuel, etc...

Awesome car with an awesome engine. Give it what you think is best and drive it (summer, winter, it doesnt matter, drive it).

Motorcraft and Wix sounds like a winning combo.

I vote for Pennzoil. More readily available than MC. I can think of numerous times I've been to the store and they are out of 5w or 10w, or both. Stocked poorly for the most part. Stick with Pennzoil. There...vote #2

This is a true statement.

A lot of people might run a dino in the engine. Satisfies their oil changing addiction. Then they run syn fluids in the rest of the drive train. Seeing that they don't need to be changed as often.

I don't like to change any fluids unless they really need it. I have too many family and friends vehicles to deal with. I also repair some of them to.

I'm thinking of maybe trying Motorcraft Mercron V for the trans, is it any good, I know that people like the Motorcraft engine oil, so the trans stuff should be decent....
