I see they have changed it again. New number is 12737090. Visual difference in pics. I am guessing it’s fine, maybe better but sometimes I just like things to stay the same. IE don’t fix what isn’t broken….
Used is the previous version..

+1. Especially when many changes are made to save a few cents.
This is what I've felt forever.
Don't you think the firms which make media "tweak-for-cheapness" all the time? ...to accommodate low bidders.

Also: The base plate appears separate from the threaded part. Were they roll-crimped together?

If they want to go cheap with the canister, eliminate it entirely and make 'em all cartridge style.

Been using MicroGuard premium on my newer trucks and will do that on this 94 K1500 starting now…….

The base plate holes are different between the two, under the baseplate cover. I cut open a Fram with this new baseplate, didn’t need to cut it as the adbv had a gap at the holes. No centering method for the element. These filters will not be good for engines. It has pretty much bottomed out, the lack of engineering details in a finished product. Just common sense required to have a way to center the element so the adbv won’t shift and not seal.
