At 113K I'm sure no damage was done to the engine. Assuming that filter was installed when the truck was new. I would of cleaned it properly and investigated the media. I used AFE Pro Dry and lightly blow the chunks out with compressed air every 30K. 60K on the filter with no issues.
 
Yup, other than blowing it out to clean it this is what they are suppose to look like. 200k on my cone filter and have cleaned and lightly re-oiled it 3x. The more it loads the better it filters. Never had a change in engine performance.
 
K&N make awesome air filters. Been using them for years without issues. But i think they are not for everybody.
