Drove 2972 miles in the 2017 Fusion. Car was flawless. It's 1300 miles each way and I got 38.3 MPG going up(didn't need AC), and 36.9 coming home and used AC all the way home. Combined MPG, which included local driving was 36.3. Will post some PICS when I get a chance. oil use was 0.

Not pricy and Fusions are in my price range. I pay cash for everything.

Also quite reliable, at least mine have been.

Great numbers especially for a 10yr old plus vehicle,

Current stuff very easy to hit with 8-10 speed auto or CVT beyond engine improvements. I am floored our 2018 VW Tiguan 4motion got 34 MPG on 4 hr highway ride with family of 5. Rated 21/27.

krismoriah72,
If you believe I am a hypermiler, here is a PIC from my dash I took this morning. This is the combined mileage for the entire trip which included 300 miles of local Maine driving. As for driving style I set the CC at 74 where I am able. Too bad about your FIT and it's size to deliver better MPG. Maybe there's something to this M1 0-20 thing.

Read again. It was the 2017 Fusion. If I kept the Fusion floored I would be doing 110MPH or there about.

LOL it wasnt an insult. Here is the definition of a hypermiler. https://www.wikihow.com/Hypermile its a good thing.

I use Mobil 1 AFE (advanced fuel economy)...lol no help.

On flat ground i can do high 30s sometimes 40s...but hills and mountains forget it... the RPMS are up in the 5000s.

Even when the Fusion downshifts it goes to about 3K. Cruises at 72MPH at 2100. 400 lower than my 2007= better MPG. No hypermiler for me. Trunk loaded to the top Cruise set at 72-74. However I do maintain my rides quite well.
