Is there a product that I can add to my gas to clean carbon build up on engine valves?
I didn't know FP worked on valves. I'm using it in 3 old pick-ups with great results. I also have it in my lawn mowers.quote:

FP, FP, FP....you'll never need anything else. Don't just clean your system, but treat the fuel (gas or diesel) as well.

Exactly what is FP ? Where do you buy it ? IS it expensive ? Better than Seafoam ??quote:

Isn't it reasonable to assume there would be some crud on the valves after so many miles? Really, few people are actually going to pull the head and look at the valves or even use a boroscope. If there is a product that is reputed to clean them and he uses it, well maybe he will be better off. Most of us can't afford (time or $$$) to actually check if any of this stuff really works. If we use a product and get a seat of the pants improvement in the engine's power and/or smoothness, then that is sufficient, albeit very subjective and maybe not significant (i.e., 1% improvement, 99% psycological).quote:
