Finally got me an Aux cable with a Lightning Connector. Plugged it in going to funeral and gonna listen to some Podcast on my 1.5 hour drive.

As I handed it to my wife (as I was driving) she said "I have to select headphones or another device per the instructions on the screen." I said
just hit headphones. It won't matter. Well, I have to turn my radio volume up almost to MAX to get the volume up to a normal level. I am at about
90% on the iPhone volume.

How do I reverse this setting? I have done some googling and can't find the solution.

I did a reset of my phone. I unplugged and reinserted the AUX cable. Any ideas?

I saw these two things online:

  1. Open your iPhone's Settings app.
  2. Scroll or search for "Music."
  3. Under the "Playback" category select "Volume Limit." The Music settings allow you to control various aspects of headphones audio. ...
  4. Turn Volume Limit off, or raise the set limit.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual, then adjust the Balance slider. Set the audio volume balance to the center.

I can't remember what I did on my wife's iPhone to get it to work. I remember it took a few tries to get the volume up.

I don't have the first option. I'm on 15.3.1 iOS

Balance is in center under audio/visual
