Recently bought an early 70s model IH 250C loader.
Had to replace a hose that was leaking and need to top off the hydraulic.

Previous Owner said he only used Komatsu T-010 oil.
Local grey beard mechanic says to get T-04 spec 10W from Napa...which they stock.

I'm not sure how to tell if this is equivalent/compatible and struggling to find much documentation on the old machine.
Can anyone shed any insight?

Actually, just go to Napa and have them look it up. They can tell you the spec oil, or what supersedes it (very likely). But I would have a problem with any 10W hydraulic oil for a top up

original spec was MOST likely International Harvester "Hy-Tran"

Just get some local AW-46 and it's all good.
