Michelin LTX has a 70K mile warranty. I would get them and wear them out at 50K miles then replace them under warranty to reduce the price on the next set. Should be good for at least a 20% discount on the next set.
I run LTX on my 07 tacoma and I wont switch. I finally found a tire that doesn't spin on wet roads in the light truck when accelerate from a red light.
Good traction and smooth/quiet ride.
The other option is to get lower cost tires (best value deals like the General Grabber) and change them more frequently.
My opinion has always been treadwear is the lowest concern. Wet and dry traction #1 then noise, then ride comfort, then treadwear.
