Every Toyota Gazoo race car has Kabuki paint scheme. Kabuki is the Japanese theatre.

How much would a restored econobox that runs perfectly fine that has kabuki paint/decals go for?

I'm planning on having an econobox to restore to pristine condition as a hobby. And maybe having a paint job with maybe decals to look like the Gazoo cars even though it's not race tuned or anything.

The white and red Toyota's are ok.

Don't go too far on a pimped up econobox. It just looks stupid.

They're rock and rolling all night. Then, they party every day.

The reason the race cars look good is because they're...race cars. Those same paint jobs on the civilian equivalent cars would look absurd.

Do you know if it's legal to darken the light assemblies front or back? At least just slightly darker?

On a Supra tho? On actual performance cars?

For the headlights, pull the lenses off and paint everything but the reflectors black, or everything but the projector lens if it is projector style headlights. But do not tint/darken the Exterior lenses!! You WILL reduce your light output!!!

As for tail lights... depends on your local/state laws. Almost all states have something like "... to throw a red light visible for at least 500 feet in the reverse direction..." I wouldn't recommend it either though. Looks good on a show car, but reducing brightness of a safety device on a street driven car is never a good idea. Been there done that learned my lessons.

I agree. Why spend a lot of money on something that will reduce it's overall value, and limit it's appeal to a very small market?

In the 70s Kiss were gods in Japan. Probably still are?

Yes it would still look bad.

Accidentally culturally relevant?

I recall there being KISS specials on US TV in a bygone era.

The only Konbuki painted car I've seen was an old Subaru 360, seemed appropriate on that ride
