So, now that we have all of this clearance Havoline, (many thanks to those that let us know it was on sale!) how does this stuff rate against the usual Mobil and Sopus favorites?....how many miles would you run these products in a well running/maintained vehicle with no UOA?

PQIA 20 grade conventionals

In 2013 the Havoline conventional looks to be a pretty solid oil with high TBN, strong Calcium, and a low CCS/MRV. While I'd rate the GTX and PYB higher, the Havoline has a good reputation and is one of the better oils on this list. But this data is 3 yrs old now. Formulations could be different now. The PYB back then looks like a PU/PP synthetic and hasn't ranked that good since.

I would use it at the same intervals that Mobil Super 5K and PYB (conventional yellow bottle) are run. 5-6000 miles for my vehicle. Mostly highway miles. I'd actually like to try it, but we don't have much of that in New York. Follow your normal recommended OCI if you do a lot of highway driving and severe service if you idle a lot, don't drive much. Good oil with a good add pack as 69GTX said.

The HavolineDP looked very good on paper and they have an excellent reputation overall. Unfortunately they don't sell as well as others. I'd use it the same way I used any other synthetic, about 5,000-10,000 mile OCI's...

Good to hear about the conventional since I just picked up 3 quarts of the 10w30 for .05 each. First time I've had an oil stash. Just 33 quarts for .05 each.

I'll prob run it for 10K in my friends V8 F150, he does a lot of highway cruising. One year and whatever (low) miles in my Honda. Thanks for your input
