anybody used either one of these, these seem to be the only "better quality" transmission kits sold in my area...otherwise i have to go with a autozone brand...any thoughts..it for a 2002 chevy prizm 3 spd auto manf date 12/01

thanks

For the filter?

I'd use either. Actually, if you can compare side-by-side with the AZ kit, it's entirely possible they're the same part re-branded. This happened with a thermostat I got at AZ. The same thing for $6 that performance sites for my car were selling for $15+shipping.

I haven't used one in two years but,I can only comment on the ATP kits.
The were very good kits with high quality gaskets.
The bolt holding gasket holes were great for reinstalling the pan.

Side by side comparison is best. Many are sourced from various manufacturers. They might be the same. They might be completely different.

I've never had a problem with the ATP kits.

Check your gasket on the pan. If its rubber, make sure the replacement is. If its fiber...ditto
Avoid kits with generic cork gaskets especially if you don't have cork.

+1 laast time I used an ATP I loved the bolt holding gasket.

the AZ brand is actually a champion labs. there's nothing wrong with it, works just fine.

I prefer the ATP brand only because I like their pan gaskets! They're durable and I've never had a leak out of one.
the Wix transmission kits are ok, I'm not a fan of cork, which all Wix's seem to be, I do like their filters though.
the Hastings are good, I used them like 20 years ago a few times, nothing spectacular about them.

ATP makes some very good stuff, and the pan gaskets say a lot for me.

+2. I never knew they did that on purpose. I thought I was a genius by threading the bolts into the gasket.
