About a year ago I switched from BFG all terrains on my F-250 to Hankook Dynapro MT RT03's. They are 35x12.5 R18's and the truck weighs 8500 lbs. A friend of mine was looking to get some good tires for his 1/2 ton chevy but just as a stock tire size. I've had no issues with this tire in the snow, ice, rocks or mud. In fact BFG all terrains don't even hold a candle to them. But I do have a significant wieght and size factor over him. Just curious if anyone has run these as a stock size and had good results. All the reviews I've been reading have been on offroad or specialty vehicle results. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated!

First, you need to tell us what the vehicle tire placard says for the original tire size and inflation pressure. "F-250" covers WAAAAAY too much territory.

On which vehicle? I told you what was on my F-250. The tire size he will be using on his chevy halfton is 245/75-16

Really? My book says some 2003 F250's had LT235/85R16's and some had LT265/75R16's - plus there is variation of GVW (and pressure) within that. Not an LT245/75R16 for that year - or back to 2001.

I will say it again. What does the vehicle tire placard say about the original tire size AND the inflation pressure? On Ford's, the vehicle tire placard is located on the driver's doorpost.

I've got a copy of "4X4 Garage" Summer issue 2011. They tested 10 mud tires in the mud and on the road (pgs 8-18). The Hankook Dynapro MT out-schooled every tire they tested including Goodyear Wrangler MT/R, Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ, Nitto Trail Grappler, Pitbull Rocker LT Radial, etc, etc, etc. I think if he bought those in a load range C instead of E that he would be better served with that 1/2 ton truck.
