I know, I just didn't think it was possible in 0W20. Maybe a lot of VIIs?

It's possible it's just it probably barely clears API/ILSAC volatility requirements, notice that it's not Dexos, althought Pennzoil Gold 0w20 is Dexos but with Dexos1Gen3 coming up soon I wonder if they'll keep making a Dexos rated 0w20 Syn Blend or if it'll require so much synthetic base stock being blended that it really doesn't make any sense to make a synblend D1G3 oil because it'll be mostly synthetic anyways.

It has been possible for a while with some Group II+ base stocks. Google XOM's EHC base oils.

There are many SB 0W20's around and have been since 0W20 became a popular grade.

With the price of Castrol Magnatec 0w20 or even QSUD 0w20 there really isnt a point to this. Many new cars are turbocharged too and need all the help they can get.

Bet this is right what the Critic stated above.

The PDS is from August 2019. It doesn't look bad at all. But I know there's an infatuation with ultra low Noack.

If it's a buck or two cheaper a whole lot of folks will buy it, oblivious to blend or anything else beyond 0w20.

I think that's an excellent point.

That and folks stick with what they trust. And oil is a very emotive topic.

I've used this in my girlfriends Crosstrek without any issues, but it was a super short OCI of like 500 miles just to flush anything left over from oil that was in the sump for a year and got it on sale. But otherwise no noise issues or hit to the mpg etc so unless you need dexos it's a good product I'm sure!
