Just heard from some friends connected with the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force that the 2012 Great Georgia Air Show has been cancelled. No one seems to have a definitive answer as to why but speculation is that the accident at the Reno Air Races may be be making it difficult to get insurance, permits, etc. Hope this is not a growing trend. Hated to see the cancellation of this show as it was within easy driving distance of my home.

The newspaper (actually the "screen") said they did not expect many changes from the investigation into the Reno air race accident.
An air show is not exactly the same as an air race.
