Goodwill Oil Filter

You can find all sorts of things at thrift stores, like new clothes with tags and even oil filters.
I've bought a few from thrift stores, including an M1-108 for .99.
These places are a good spot to while away a lazy, rainy Saturday afternoon.
I can promise that you'll find something of interest dirt cheap.

Yeah, it was dirty, not sure why. Going to clean it off more.

They had air filters and some motorcraft air filters, and a 500 dollar unopened Leopold scope. My buddy got a blazer and a hacksaw. I got an oil filter, and a set of precision cutters.

Have you ever thought of being a hand model?

Well...if you do just don't end up like Ray McKigney.

I buy oil filters at garage sales and thrift stores all the time if they're in good shape and I've used quite a few as well. I got the Carquest Blue in my sig from a garage sale for a dollar, mint shape and relatively new stock

I've also found Mobil 1, Napa and Baldwin filters for next to nothing.

I found a 5 quart jug of Quaker State
and a 4 quart jug of Havoline, foil seals intact.

Along with three 3614 oil filters,
I paid a total of $5 for the lot...

Do you see a date code on the can anywhere?

Here's how to read a Fram date code:

Honestly, for this car, I do not care. It recently popped a seal near the timing belt, and puked its oil out, and had me dukes of hazard jump it into someone's yard. I plan to fix that this weekend.

Probably not as many times as it was when being stocked and handled at whatever store originally had it on the shelf.
Anyway, any force hard enought to damage the filter would leave obvious dents in the can, none of which appear on this TG.
