Gm ls rocker arm trunnion failures

I have a 300,000 mile lm7 with stock rocker arms, everything runs great on the truck. Is the trunnion failure because of high lift cams and heavy springs or can it happen to stock form? Since the truck is stock and at high mileage is it critical to change the trunnions before one fails and takes out the engine?

I haven’t personally seen it in stock form. When I put a cam in my LQ4 that I swapped into my Tahoe, I used the melling stock rockers that had the trunnion upgrades.

I've seen it, Extremely rare with stock lift camshafts!
