I bought a 2014 Toyota Corolla (4 speed auto.) with 17K miles and my question is if i need to replace the gearbox fluid? The fluid looks good and clean. The car was parked for several years and ran once and a while for battery charging. Any thoughts?

Welcome to BITOG 🎉

It probably is a good idea to change the ATF. The job is very easy on your Corolla, even easier than an oil change. Maxlife ATF is very good stuff at a fair price, but any LV synthetic ATF will work great.

Do the job cold, measure how much fluid came out, and then refill with the same amount you drained :)

17K ain't nuthin'...
Having said that, the 1st trans service is the most important because it removes the break in materials.
You can wait till 30K if you wish; either way is fine. I like the Idemitsu WS equivslent, but as @slacktide_bitog sez MaxLife works well in Toyotas. I use both. You will feel a difference.

Thanks guy's, for the advises, i will wait for 30K, already did the other fluids (cooling and break). ;-)
