This bulb, one out of four in a small chandelier, was flickering and I replaced it with a Dicuno brand from Amazon. The new one did not flicker.

I fed 120V to the bulb I took off, on the bench, and it did not flicker.

Heat is not an issue in this chandelier application as in the bulb not being enclosed. It was mounted base up, though.

What caught my eye was this statement in the instructions that came with the Dicuno bulbs - use one or two halogens to ensure a minimum load. Why the necessity for a minimum load?

No, all four in parallel. BTW I had to google Suzuki Inazuma, never heard of it before.

To add to my original post, there were no signs of arcing at the base of the bulb or on the contacts of the socket. Bulb fit into the socket was reasonably tight..
