Fuel sending unit sealant

Working on my old car. The Specrta fuel sending unit was leaking at the electrical stud and was only reading full or empty when rank was below ¾ full. I rewound the broken resistance wire and got the 10-70 ohm scale working satisfactorily for this type of car.

I revealed the sending unit stud with a nitrile o-ring. But, the square cut cork gasket and cheasy....1950s sending unit locking ring isn't up to the task. I've had this leak before as it's submerged in gasoline when the tank is more than ¾ full.

I can replace the cork with a nitrile o ring, but the metal locking ring doesn't put much pressure on the assembly. Is there an RTV type of sealer than would work in direct contact with gasoline/ethanol?

In the past most I've seen just expand and turn gooey after some time.

Can't use a tape, need some type of RTV like product.

Tape would just use a PTFE (TEFLON) .

Viton is good. Good luck with the Seal-All. If it fails, go with the Permatex PermaShield linked above. PermaShield is definitely immune to gasoline + ethanol.
