Here is the filter off my 2001 Toyota Echo. It was 3 short OCI's over the course of the year, I just kept using the same filter.

Upsizing to the XG3600, about 3 times the size I'll try to do 3 or 4 8,000km OCI's on it.

Thank you for the cut and post

I hope the oil filter isn't mounted on the bottom on your Echo

I probably would've used the XG4386

Yup bottom mounted, still not the lowest point of clearance.

Back in went some Castrol Edge Extended 5w30.

Watch for rock damage-you have the same engine as my xB, my XG3600 caught one (not enough for a hole, but the Sure Grip flaked off the dent & the filter started rusting).

I have wanted to mount a PH8A on my xB just because.

Thanks for posting. I should see if that huge 3600 would fit on my girlfriend's Celica. It has a plastic splash shield under the filter so im not worried about debris... but im not sure if it would hang too low to put the shield back on. I had no idea those had the same threads. Ive used the 4386 before with no issues.
