Is one more heavy duty than the other? They only thing I can tell is that one has sure grip and the other doesn't

Both have a 12 psi bypass valve.
Both are in the Extra Guard product family.
PH7575 has 23.64 in3 displacement.
PH3614 is 23.29 in3 displacement.

Not sure what you mean by 'heavy duty' but with respect to specifications, they're nearly identical.

What's the displacement numbers mean?

The bases look different, so maybe the difference is related to the length of the threaded tube on the filter mount and how much room there is in that area when the filter is mounted.

Upon closer inspection, Fram lists the PH7575 as cross referencing to lawn mower type OPE only.
PH3614 seems to focus on automotive cross references...

Gotcha even though I don't get all the abbreviations on this forum

OPE=Outdoor Power Equipment
I bought a 12 pack of those O-C-O-D Fram Extra Guards PH3614 for my mowers etc....
