Wash your vehicle while cool, and in shade....I use foam canon, wash mitt whole Jeep, and rinse all at once....then literally 2 seconds later start hitting 2 sections with spray at a time, use the absorber chamois first pass have microfibre on shoulder and quick buff pass. You literally put it on everything, windows plastics etc! It's amazing. Did mine in August water still doesn't stand a chance on it, most beads off or when raining it's like car is dry while driving in rain.

EDIT I spray a couple shots on shamois to dampen it with product just once tho, prior to starting.

It is also my understanding that the original factory paint is urethane, but subsequent repaints by a body shop could be either (largely dependent upon price - more expensive = urethane; more affordable = lacquer).

Hopefully someone with some first hand knowledge on the subject will chime in and correct me if I am incorrect on any of this.

My good friend is auto body specialist, he says depending on how elaborate paint job is, but he said if it was his car, he would refrain from anything that requires machine application and if you absolutely want to put a coat of wax on, find one that is the easiest to apply and especially easy to remove, otherwise stick with light spray wax applications in mean time. Nothing with cleaners, polish etc or harsh chemicals.

I had my 63 Valiant painted 17 years ago and it's first wax was with NuFinish and it's seen nothing else in all these years. The paint still looks fresh, deep and lush.

Lots of urban legend nonsense surrounding NuFinish it seems.
